Data Processing

TrailTrace is designed with privacy in mind. All data processing happens locally in your browser:

• Your video files remain on your device and are never uploaded to any server
• GPS and telemetry data extraction happens entirely in your browser

Analytics and data collection

We use Umami Analytics (hosted by Umami Software, Inc.) to collect anonymized, aggregated usage data—such as page views, browser, device, country of origin—without cookies or personal identifiers. None of the data we collect can identify you personally. We rely on our legitimate interest to process this data for audience measurement and site optimization. According to guidance from European data protection authorities, these analytics may be exempt from requiring explicit consent.
